Our client, the biggest real estate developer in Qatar is currently looking for a Compliance Lead.

– Lead internal compliance reviews as assigned and undertake compliance monitoring activities in accordance with guidelines to ensure compliance with client’s Financial, Accounting, Administrative and Business policies, systems and procedures.

– The purpose of the role is to ensure internal compliance, safeguard the assets of client, and implement and promote effectiveness in compliance.

Compliance Monitoring

  • Contribute to the identification of critical issues and areas for conducting reviews and to the development of appropriate techniques for ensuring compliance.
  • Lead the implementation of compliance reviews.
  • Maintain a database of all reviews.
  • Prepare an annual plan for and lead the implementation of scheduled compliance reviews.

Audit Follow-Up

  • Lead the implementation of all audit follow-up activities in close coordination with audit divisions.
  • Maintain a database of all audit follow-up activities.
  • Plan, schedule and conduct their implementation, document their status and report to Manager.
  • Contribute to periodic reports prepared for the Department Director and Audit & Risk Committee.

Management of the Division and Personal Development

  • Assist Manager in organizational and administrative tasks.
  • Undertake periodic research to stay abreast of new techniques suitable to be adopted to improve the effectiveness of compliance monitoring.
  • Plan and propose a personal career path profile including suitable training in order to develop capacities suitable for improving job performance.
  • Provide frequent feedback to Manager and colleagues to ensure continuous high quality of any work performed by the Division. Other

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Business Capabilities

  • 8 -10 years of relevant professional experience in Finance, Accounting or Audit with at least 5+ years of direct experience in related positions.
  • Relevant professional qualifications highly desirable

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Relevant professional qualifications highly desirable

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong oral and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated and committed
  • Ability to work independently, under high pressure within fixed time frames
  • Knowledge of Arabic (Written & Spoken) is desirable
